Dr Sam Newton presents an illustrated talk about the

Old English Easter Feast

Dr Philip Stone presents an illustrated talk on Richard III.

 

Dr Newton has lectured widely around the country as a free lance scholar and has also contributed to many television and radio programmes. He is currently a director of Wuffing Education, NADFAS lecturer and a Time Team historian.

£38.00 includes morning coffee, lunch and a private visit to the manor in the afternoon.     Pre-booking essential.

Dr Philip Stone is an authority on Richard III ,who was born at Fotheringhay only three miles from the Prebendal Manor.

Philip Stone is chairman of the Richard III Society.

Franki McCabe

Great Gardeners from Capability Brown to Prince Charles

 

 

Franki McCabe is a former horticultural consultant, lecturer and writer who continues to maintain her impressive and expert knowledge of the worlds most notable gardens.

£45.00 includes morning coffee, lunch, a guided tour of the manor and the recreated medieval gardens.

A Garden Tour

with Michael Brown MA

 


Ken Forrest has painted scenes from most parts of the British Isles but has a special affinity for the landscapes of East Anglia and the East Midlands. His work can be seen at the Stamford Artists Gallery  and at the Lindsell Gallery, North Essex. He has been holding painting classes for many years at his home in Rutland. The gardens of the Prebendal Manor are particularly suited water colour studies. If the weather is bad the class will take place under cover within the manor and tithe barn museum

Registration/coffee 10 a.m. lunch 1 p.m. and afternoon tea at 4.p.m.

The class is limited to 15 people so book early to avoid disappointment.

Cost £40.00 .

Michael Brown is a great authority on medieval gardens. He will do a illustrated talk about medieval gardens in the tithe barn museum. Afterwards there will be a tour of the recreated medieval gardens, including the new garden.   Tea will be included in the visit.

Cost £14.00 -  pre booking is essential .  2 p.m. - 5.p.m.

National Archeology Day

Saturday 18th July

 

A family chocolate egg hunt, with lots for children to do. Paint an egg cup to take home,  make a picture from material ,and story telling.    Gates open from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The manor will be open at no extra cost.

Adult £6.50. Child £4.00. Family ticket £19.00.

Warm cloths and sensible shoes are essential.

 

Nassington Gardens open weekend, in aid of Nassington parish church.

The gardens will be open from 12 a.m.- 6.00 p.m. on both days.

Admission £5.00 (children under 16 are free).

Weekend ticket for 2  £15.00.

Cream teas, on both days. A duck race on Sunday.

The Prebendal Manor gardens will be open on Saturday in aid of the church.

A guided walk  looking at the medieval landscape of Nassington.

Coffee and an introduction talk in the tithe barn museum. The walk, and visit to the church. Lunch followed by an afternoon tour of the Manor and recreated medieval gardens and finishing with tea.

10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Admission Adult £25.00  - Child under 14 is free.

Children's Day.
